South Fork is a beautiful little town located in Rio Grande County of southwestern Colorado, at about 8,200 feet above sea level.  With the combination of being surrounded by millions of acres of national forest and other public lands, ~300 days of sunshine per year, and ~400+ inches of snow at Wolf Creek pass annually, it is safe to say that South Fork and the upper Rio Grande offer many outdoor recreational activities for everybody to enjoy; including fishing, hunting, hiking, mountain biking, trail running, camping, bird-watching, kayaking, skiing/snowboarding, photography - you name it!  If that is not enough for your appetite, there are plenty of other things to do here in South Fork and in other nearby towns; such as Del Norte, Creede, Pagosa Springs, Monte Vista, Alamosa, etc.  There are many local restaurants and breweries to enjoy, hot springs to relax in, small quaint shops to explore, historical sites to visit, local music to listen to, festivals to attend, and many many other things that can only be experienced in the upper Rio Grande!  Below is a list of links that we hope are helpful to you in planning your trip here to visit us!
