Meet the Team
Not only are they great guides, they are even better people.

I have been a fly-fishing angler and outdoor steward for over 30 years. A longtime guide and instructor, I found my niche in the industry as a teacher. I have also been a professional ski patroller and recently retired from high school teaching and coaching. I find my personal success in the success of others. I was the Lead Guide and the Guide School Director for Tahoe Fly Fishing Outfitters. I also taught fly fishing classes at both Lake Tahoe Community College and Sierra Nevada College. My passions for life outside of fly fishing are backcountry skiing and ultra running.

Thad is an outdoor enthusiasts through and through. Fishing and nature have always been in his blood. Born and raised in New England, Jeff grew up fishing and spending time outdoors. He relocated to Colorado twenty years ago in search of desert climbs, high peaks and mountain rivers. Since then he has spent countless hours fly fishing high country creeks and lakes as well as big open rivers and local tail waters of Colorado and New Mexico. With a variety of fishing experience and a love of the great outdoors, Jeff provides an unforgettable professional guiding experience.

I grew up fishing the cold clear creeks of Northern Michigan. Trout fishing has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. The first job I ever wanted as a kid was to be a fishing guide. After college I moved to Colorado to make a living in the outdoor industry. When I went on my first float trip down the Rio Grande river I knew this was my calling. What I enjoy most about this industry is the people you meet along the way.

Born and raised In the San Luis valley I have had the privilege of calling the Rio Grande home. Growing up I always had a passion for helping others, and that’s why at a young age I decided to become a teacher. I got my bachelors degree from Adams State University in education and now I am currently a Special Education teacher at the same high school I graduated from. I’ve always enjoyed fishing but during college I decided to take fishing to the next level and pick up fly fishing. I have been hooked ever since. Being a teacher and a passionate fly fisher, I thought what better way to spend the summers than sharing my passion and become a fly fishing guide. I have been blessed with the opportunity to share this passion and share my knowledge about fly fishing with others through Wolf Creek Anglers. I have been fishing the Rio Grande river drainage my whole life and everyday is a new experience. When I’m not working the shop or guiding you can find me fishing the Rio or some other Colorado stream, camping, in school teaching, or spending time with my beautiful fiancé and two kids. I’m excited to be apart of the amazing crew at Wolf Creek Anglers and working on the waters I call home.

Since becoming an Eagle Scout; climbing, fishing, and the outdoors has been my pursuit. While attending the University of Kansas I ran a rock-climbing wall and later moved to Flagstaff, Arizona. Here is where I taught myself how to fly-fish in Oak Creek Canyon, outside of Sedona. While exploring Northern Arizona for new routes to climb and backpacking, I found Lees Ferry on the Colorado River. I found the fishing to be so rewarding and challenging, that I simply quit climbing and became a fly-fishing guide for Lees Ferry Anglers. After some time there a fellow guide told me about South Fork, Colorado, and the Upper Rio Grande River. I decided to visit for a long weekend, and I fell in love with the river and this area of Colorado. I hired a guide at Wolf Creek Anglers and had one of my best days on the water. After being hired last year by Wolf Creek Anglers, I moved to South Fork, and I now guide with some of the best fly-fishing guides I've ever known.
